The Australian Rugby Union successfully launched the Community Rugby Rewards Program with the Qantas Wallabies in Melbourne last week. The Victorian weather was kind to us for the commencement of the week of activities with the 'Train and Play' day at Xavier College Kew - children aged between 6-12 years were selected from local rugby clubs to attend the session. The junior players were broken into 5 groups, and went through a range of rugby activities with the Qantas Wallabies. One activity had Stirling Mortlock assisting with kicking technique, and Phil Waugh marking out the goal poles. Matt Giteau and Wycliff Palu played Rugby Octopus, and Adam Ashley Cooper and Ryan Cross had rugby throwing relays with their groups.
