RUGBY INSURANCE
The Who, When, What & How?
All clubs recognise the importance of insurance cover in a sporting club context and the necessity of having appropriate cover in place. As a measure of your club and your Unions support to players and officials, the Australian Rugby Union arranges insurance cover for your benefit and risk protection.
By their nature, insurance policies are at times, complex, written in a unique language and not easily explained. Understanding the details of insurance cover is therefore quite difficult, confusing and often misunderstood. The summary below is provided as a simplified explanation of the coverage provided for Rugby clubs and participants under the National Insurance Scheme plan.
The following is a summary only of the main points of coverage under the plan. Please refer to the policy document contained within the Club Administrators Sports Insurance Manual provided to your local club for the complete policy terms and conditions.
