Australian Sevens Results from Edinburgh- Day 2

Australia has won the Bowl title, for the second consecutive week, at the final iRB Sevens World Series tournament in Edinburgh on Sunday.

After defeating Portugal and Iberian neighbours Spain earlier in the day the Aussies were drawn with Canada in the Bowl Final.

Bill Millard’s men got off to a flyer and led 19-0 at half time through tries by Peter Owens (2) and Tim Walsh before Afusipa Taumoepeau sprinted fully 60 metres to put the result beyond doubt in the second half. Neil Meechan scored two late consolation tries for the Canadians to narrow the full time score to 24-14.
