Saia Faingaa continues to blossom as one of the outstanding long-term prospects for the Brumbies. Following the forced retirement of David Palavi at the beginning of 2007, Faingaa stepped up to deputise the Brumbies’ hooking role behind Jeremy Paul. The enthusiastic 20 year old represented the Brumbies in 11 matches in 2007. The dreadlocked rake also helped Eastern Suburbs to a Sydney club rugby grand final before his Australian Rugby Championship season was cut short by a hamstring injury.
