David Dennis became the eighth player to debut during 2007 when he was called into action against the Crusaders in Sydney while still on a Professional Academy contract. The 22 year-old from Richmond in Sydney’s outer west earned plenty of respect for his performances with the Melbourne Rebels in the Australian Rugby Championship until a knee injury in early September ruled him out for the season. He’s expected to be back to full fi tness by the midway point of the 2008 Super 14.
