Quade made his debut for the Reds in 2007 at the age of 18 in just his first year out of school, where he was one of three young players to set a new record for Australian schoolboy caps. Quade grew up in Waikato, New Zealand, and was snapped up by the ARU-funded National Talent Squad when his family moved to Brisbane. Predominantly a flyhalf, Quade showed his versatility when interchanging with Berrick Barnes at inside centre during his challenging debut season.
