Matt Giteau made his debut for the Western Force at inside centre against the Highlanders in round one of last season but played most of the season at fl yhalf. He scored 71 points in his fi rst season, including three tries, going onto win the team’s 2007 Player of the Year award. A world class game-breaker, Matt brought direction, structure and creativity to the Western Force backline. He made his Test debut before his Super rugby debut, plucked from a Canberra colts club side for the Wallabies Spring Tour in 2002.
